We Prepare All The Meals & Food For You

Don't worry about what to bring, how your going to cook it, who's going to clean up. We do all the cooking for you on our kayak trips. Have a food allergy, a special request just tell it to us before we leave and our cook will make sure its on the list. We do our best to only use fresh local ingredients and are always environmentally conscious when it comes to packing up and leaving the camp site.

Outback Eating with Rising Sun Kayak Adventures

One of our guarantees at Rising Sun is that none of our customers will return from their trip malnourished!  Included in the price of all our multi-day trips is enough food to eat three balanced meals per day plus extra rations in case you want to snack in between.  The food we provide is nutritious and delicious, prepared by guides with years of outdoor cooking experience, some are even 5-star chefs in “real life.”  Our meals are often vegetarian in nature but meat-eaters should not fear, we usually have some bacon and burgers at some point during our trip.  Fresh caught seafood such as wild B.C. salmon is frequently added to the menu depending on the success of the trip’s fisherman.  If you have a pole, bring it along and anything you catch can be prepared for you by Rising Sun’s chefs. 

Our chefs plan the meals for each trip several days in advance of the launch, taking into consideration the dietary requirements and food allergies of our clients.  We are happy to accommodate the needs of your diet and only require that you notify Rising Sun at least one week before your trips departure so that our chef can plan accordingly.

  • BREAKFAST -
    • Pancakes with optional fruits and Canadian maple syrup
    • Egg muffins with bacon and home fries
    • Granola with yogurt and fresh fruit
    • Bagels with cream cheese
    • Burritos stuffed with egg, potatoes, fresh avocado, tomato and cheese
    • Coffee and selected fruit juices
    • Condiments such a maple syrup, ketchup and hot sauce
  • LUNCH -
    • Tuna and Salmon salad sandwiches
    • Hamburgers with all the fixings and optional veggie burgers
    • Vegetarian summer rolls
    • Pasta with sauce made fresh onsite by our chef
  • DINNER -
    • Vegetarian chili with Avocado, Hot Sauce and Sour Cream toppings
    • Risotto and shallots sprinkled with Parmesan Cheese
    • Greek Salad with a red wine vinaigrette dressing
    • Fire roasted veggies served with balsamic vinegar and bread
    • Chickpea Curry
    • Vegetable Stir-fry served with white rice
